Dr. Deborah Kennedy - CEO and Crew Chief


Dr. Deb, the founder of Build Healthy KidsŪ, has been at the forefront of nutritional studies and consumer awareness for almost two decades. Her experience ranges from pediatric nutrition and nutritional oncology to product development and kids' education programs. As a nutrition consultant and researcher, Deb has worked with parents and patients to integrate cutting edge healthy eating concepts into their lives.

In recent years, she has used her vast experience in the field of nutrition to found companies, like Build Healthy Kids and NutritionOptions LLC, which help educate parents about issues that affect their childrens' long-term health. Dr. Deb has worked at Yale, Columbia, Tufts and Cornell University. She is a coauthor of Beat Sugar Addiction Now! for Kids and author of Nutrition Bites. She is currently working on her third book which deals with children's eating personalities.
As a nutrition consultant and researcher, Deb has worked with parents and patients to integrate cutting edge healthy eating concepts into their lives.

In recent years, she has used her vast experience in the field of nutrition to found companies, like Build Healthy Kids and NutritionOptions LLC, which help educate parents about issues that affect their childrens' long-term health. She has worked at Yale, Columbia, Tufts and Cornell Universities and has over 23 years of experience in the field.


Danielle Sobieski - Research Coordinator


Danielle Sobieski oversees and coordinates the research at Build Healthy KidsŪ. She is currently a graduate student at the University of New Haven studying Human Nutrition and Nutritional Genomics.

She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Connecticut with a bachelor of science in Diagnostic Genetics Sciences, and is an experienced molecular technologist, having worked in multiple molecular diagnostic laboratories. Danielle is interested in promoting practical nutrition and health information through working with Building Healthy KidsŪ.


Corina Kirwin - Director of Latino Affairs


Corina Kirwin is the director of Latino Affairs at Build Healthy Kids. She is a rising senior at the University of Miami, double majoring in Spanish and Latin American Studies.

After studying abroad in Costa Rica during high school in 2007, she volunteered as a translator at Yale New Haven Hospital and various other health clinics in Connecticut. She also was a Spanish tutor and mentor in after-school Latino youth programs.

Her goal is to bridge her passion for nutrition and the Latino culture, by reaching out to the United States' Latino youth in improving their diets and overall health.
