Limit
Screen Time With
all the technology around us, it is really easy to spend 3
to 4 hours in front of a screen every day. With the sedentary
time adding up, your child’s chance to develop unhealthy
weight gain is increased so try to limit your child’s
use of the following to 2 hours or less every day: TV, computer
(not including homework), videogames, and hand-held devices.
Here are some simple tips to help reduce screen time:
• Determine how many minutes
your child is actually spending on screen time.
• Set a timer
• Remove TVs and other
electronic devices from their bedrooms.
• No
snacking in front of the screen
